The Nine Types of Intelligence ♡

UT treats me a little hard and sometimes I feel like I'm not smart enough to be attending such a challenging college.

I stumbled upon a post on tumblr about the nine types of intelligence found here. You can also take a quiz on your stronger types here.

Taking this quiz and learning about the different types made me feel so much better on my intelligence. Being weaker on one type is not a bad thing. Knowledge is not just measured on how well you remember facts or how you good you are at math. Never feel down about your intelligence!

Band Merch, Video Game Merch, and other cute things ♡

Hi guys! I haven't written a blog post in a while, so I thought I'd share what I have bought in the last week or so.

I have been hyped for this game since they've announced it. I've played SSB since I was a child, and handheld games are my favorite, so when Nintendo decided to put SSB on the Nintendo 3DS, I had to pre-order it at Gamespot. It's definitely one of my favorites. I personally play as Pikachu or Fox, but I enjoy the new character the Villager (I love Animal Crossing). My favorite stages are the Pokemon Stages. However, I hate Little Mac and the stage Magicant and the Paper Mario stage. Those are definitely my least favorite. I originally had a 2DS, but I didn't like the tiny screen so I also pre-ordered my next item up for review.

Nintendo announced this Gamestop exclusive and I absolutely had to get it. It's a typical 3DSXL, but with NES design. It's so pretty and perfect for the games I play (Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and SSB). I enjoy the bigger screen and actually having the DS flip. I had a 2DS before because it was relatively cheaper than the regular 3DS and it's XL counterpart. I decided I needed the bigger screen. I was originally going to buy a pastel pink one, but decided I wanted and exclusive since I missed the Pikachu and Animal Crossing exclusives.

I saw this backpack on Tumblr, so I went searching for it. It comes in small and large, whereas large is double the price. I bought it from a third party however, but I needed this backpack. It is definitely small, but it can fit my notebooks and my chromebook in the bag. It is so cute. The only thing disappointing about it is that there's only one full bodied cyndaquil (obviously cyndaquil is my favorite but oh well). It's a little pricy for the size, but it's pokemon so I don't mind. It was definitely worth the buy.

I originally bought this bag to fit my polaroid camera in. My camera, extra film, and my wallet fit in it just fine. Plus, it's super cute! It comes in three different colors. I settled on black because I usually wear monochrome outfits. The material inside of the bag is mediocre, but it was a cheap buy. It does it's job all in all. The zippers are cute little foxes too!

Dear Eli,

Hey man.
I listened to Counterparts today and thought of you immediately. You were the only one who I knew that loved Counterparts as much as me. YOU EVEN SAW THEM IN AUSTIN, when I've only seen them at SXSW. Anyway, the song was "Soil". The lyrics are (you already know them but for the people who want to read my letter):

Tragedy is all we have in common
And at times we allow it to swallow us whole
Drawing the marrow from our misfortunes
To ignite the fire that's inside
Inhale the smoke from the burn that leaves you breathless
Breathing life into the lifeless
Dragging them into the sun and exposing them as apparitions

Is there dignity in living life as an entity?
"You could have made history, but we are already forgetting about you."
Humanity is poison
And we are lost without a cure
So stop your heart and start the healing process

I am not fit to walk among you
But I don't want to end my life
Just know that if I knew of any common ground
I'd leave here now
And I would find a home that I could die in
Just to say I tried to rest in peace

Erase me from your memory
The ones we love will let us down
And the rats will feed off of our failure
Eventually, this is something we must accept

The world moves on without us
We leave only footprints that fade away in time
Walk with fire and save yourself from vagrancy
We leave our spirits to retrace our steps

You are your memorial
Find your mark and make it
The soil is the last thing we ingest
We watch our ashes scatter
You are your own memorial
Find your mark and make it

The thing is, you won't be forgotten. You've "made your mark". You basically taught me how to be kind to others. You were so kind and loving to everyone. You didn't even know what hate was. You put a smile on everyone's face. I'm actually still in shock that you're gone. It doesn't make any sense to me.
I dunno, I think about you often, your picture is on my bulletin board. I think about how many people's lives you impacted. You knew I was an atheist and you respected that; I love you for that. You made my friend the happiest I have ever seen her, and now I'm at college and I can't help her. Every time I play uke, I think about you and how you would one up me whenever I brought it to school. I learned that song by the way, though I can't sing it well, I bet your girl can for me. The times we did hang out, you were always cracking me and everyone around us up. You were also a dare devil. You never turned down a dare and weren't afraid of anything. I still crack up about the time you hardcore danced at that dance party on our band trip to South Padre Island, or when you freaked me out when you were going down the big hill on the penny board at Haley Nelson.
I worry about your close ones, but since they believe in God, they're fine I guess. We weren't as close, and the last time we've talked was about the time you saw Counterparts and you were wearing a Hundredth shirt. I hope you're having a helluva good time in the afterlife, whatever afterlife it is. I miss you. R.I.P. my dear.

New stuff ♡

I bought the Acer C720 Chromebook (11.6 Inch, 2GB) and the Cat Personal Safety Keychain off amazon and they are both exactly what I wanted.
I was poking walls with my keychain and it seems to be made of good material. It's really cute but I hope I never have to use it. I also bought my best friend one for $8. They're cute little safety gifts for your girl friends, but make sure they're legal in your state/city.
I bought the Acer C720 Chromebook because I needed something small, lightweight, and has a longer battery life than my main HP laptop (15 inch). Being a Chromebook, you can only download Google play apps, and not download any other software. I didn't buy the Chromebook for downloading software and such. I needed this guy because my homework for most of my classes are online. I'm also taking an online class! The Acer C720 seemed to be everything I needed and only for $200! So if you're looking for a "social media machine", or something dependent on wifi, this a perfect alternative than spending more money on a laptop you don't need.

I hope my review helped. If you happen to have any questions, I read all comments and you can also try messaging me on tumblr at mahllie.tumblr.com. ♡ Have a lovely day ♡

Hello!

Hi guys!

This is my first post and I thought I should tell you about myself.
I go to the University of Texas at Austin. I am undecided on my major right now, but I'm looking at transferring to the chemistry department. I'm a Virgo sun with Aquarius moon and rising. My favorite games are Pokemon and Animal Crossing. I take a lot of pictures and I love to do my makeup. I love astrology. My favorite bands are Modern Baseball and Counterparts.

Basically, I made this blog to tell about my adventures here at UT. They're rather interesting so far and I'd like to share them with whoever would like to listen. I'd also like to make other posts, however I'm unsure of what I'd post about. Anyway, this is my daily life and more!
